Stony Brook Immediate Post Game Reaction

This was an amazing first game for the Hoosiers! I know that IU fans have been waiting for a team that can pull away and stay away. The first half started slow for the Hoosiers. Zeller looked like a freshmen until the midway point of the first half and was getting bullied down low.

Oladipo picked up exactly where he left off last year. I have always been a huge Victor Oladipo fan and tonight just added to my admiration of his athletic abilities.

One major question I had during the first half is why wasn’t Will Sheehey starting? When he entered the game, the team's play improved immediately. I understand that he didn’t play in the second half because of flu like symptoms, but I still wonder why he didn’t start? Verdell was still wild and inconsistent in the game along with Watford. That was disappointing because I had read they had made improvements in the off season.

Now the best part of the first game is Cody Zeller. Wow, 16 points 10 rebounds in your first collegiate game. I know Stony Brook wasn’t the caliber of a Big 10 team, but extremely it was apromising start to the season.
